Scholarships and Grants for Quality School Education: Report on Achievements of the Fund in 2022/2023 Academic Year

In conditions of instability and constant challenges, it becomes evident that the future of a nation depends on unity and mutual support. Education, more than ever, requires the consolidation of efforts and support because only together can we ensure that every child
has access to quality education even in extremely difficult conditions of wartime. The Charitable Foundation "Children's Future" together with the distance school "Optima" with the support of the Beisheim Foundation and other partners take responsibility for the future of Ukrainian children. We strive to support and inspire students who find themselves in challenging life circumstances. That is why we initiated the provision of educational grants and scholarships. You will learn about the success of this project, the terms of free education, as well as the opportunities for receiving educational grants and scholarships in the new academic year from this article.

Report on Achievements in the 2022/2023 Academic Year

The project of obtaining educational grants and scholarships, designed for vulnerable categories of students, has become a key step in providing equal opportunities for acquiring quality school education. The program aims to support those who experience difficulties due to active combat actions, reside in occupied territories, have parents serving in the military, or face post-traumatic consequences and health issues. Last year, our efforts were aimed at helping Ukrainian children receive quality school education regardless of their place of residence, level of preparation, or individual characteristics.

The project of obtaining educational grants and scholarships has been remarkably successful. This experience encourages us not to stop at what has been achieved. Only during the 2022/2023 academic year, educational grants and scholarships were awarded to 839 children, both in Ukraine and in other countries such as Germany, Poland, Austria, the United Kingdom, the Czech Republic, Spain, Switzerland, and others.

The charitable contributions of caring individuals create conditions for the development of each child, providing students with the opportunity to unleash their potential through educational grants and scholarships. We continue to act in the direction of unity and mutual support. In the 2023/2024 academic year, we also strive to make education accessible to all who are ready to acquire quality knowledge and useful skills.

Implemented Projects

In addition to initiatives to provide educational grants and scholarships, the "Children's Future" foundation in collaboration with the distance school "Optima" successfully implemented other projects aimed at ensuring access to quality education in the challenges of the present time.

During the initial months of the armed conflict, we provided free access to the educational platform, allowing 100,000 children to successfully complete the academic year. In addition, we provided support and organized work for 200 teachers.

In November 2022, along with educational scholarships and grants, we additionally provided free access to educational materials for students in grades 1-5. This was done in response to unprecedented attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The educational platform operates 24/7, allowing children to study at their convenience. This opportunity was used by 3,332 children.

Current Initiatives

Considering the success of charitable projects last year, we continue to work intensively on initiatives aimed at ensuring quality education for the most vulnerable categories of children.

 ● Charitable program "Recovery of Learning Losses." Access to studying 2 subjects for 3 months to restore the learning process even during difficult circumstances.

 ● Blended learning program in Ukrainian schools based on the distance school "Optima." The goal is to improve the quality of education for children in regions facing difficulties such as active combat actions, lack of teaching staff, and more.

 ● Charitable scholarship program for children whose parents died in the war. Providing scholarships and educational grants to children who have lost their relatives due to military actions.

 ● Charitable scholarship program for children with special educational needs. Educational grants and scholarships for children with SEN with the possibility of adapting the program to each student for maximum learning efficiency.
