Due to the full-scale war, the educational process in Ukraine has undergone significant changes. At the end of the 2022/2023 academic year, the Ministry of Education and Science identified gaps in knowledge among a large number of Ukrainian schoolchildren, especially among families forced to emigrate, relocated due to hostilities, or residing in conflict-affected areas. These gaps arose for various reasons, such as:
• low quality of education in the conflict-affected regions of Ukraine and in areas with active hostilities;
• power supply interruptions;
• disruptions in education due to air raids and rocket attacks;
• the absence of teachers for certain subjects in schools due to evacuation and other circumstances.
The educational recovery course program was launched in June 2023 with the aim of reducing the educational losses of Ukrainian schoolchildren.
Every student, regardless of their location, has a unique opportunity to catch up with the school curriculum by gaining free access to unique educational materials from the "Optima" distance school for 3 months. Participants will also receive all the necessary information on the educational programs for the entire academic year and professional support from “Optima” school teachers.
From July 2023 to April 2024, the Charitable Foundation "Children's Future", with the support of the OutcomesX grant program, was able to help 3806 children restore their school knowledge. The most popular subjects among students are exact sciences. Most often, students chose mathematics, physics, and chemistry. They also made up for knowledge in Ukrainian language, English, Ukrainian history, and computer science.
The charitable program includes:
• initial testing to assess knowledge gaps;
• independent work with interactive educational content;
• support from subject-specific teachers through chat.
The program will continue to operate next academic year. You can apply to participate in the "Recovery of Educational Losses" program on our website.
The initiative to implement the educational recovery program is supported by the “Optima” distance school in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Information about the program can be found on the Ministry's website.

The Charitable Foundation "Children’s Future" helps Ukrainian schoolchildren and provides vulnerable children with the opportunity to receive quality distance education.
The Charity Foundation "Children's Future" aids children in the field of school education, particularly distance learning. We ensure that every student has equal access to quality, innovative education regardless of their location.
No circumstances should hinder Ukrainian children from receiving education. We provide more information about the work of the Charitable Foundation “Children's Future”.
Each and every one of us does everything possible to help those around us, and daily donations to the Armed Forces of Ukraine or humanitarian needs have become a routine for Ukrainians. However, it is essential not to forget about other areas shaping our society. At the Charitable Foundation “Children's Future,” we strive every day to ensure that Ukrainian children receive quality and modern education.
Why do we engage in this?
After the onset of the full-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine, hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian children were forced to leave their homes for other parts of Ukraine or even abroad. For several months, many schools could not continue the educational process in a full-fledged manner. However, it was crucial to provide children, scattered around the world, with the opportunity to study and acquire Ukrainian education. That's why the the Charitable Foundation “Children's Future” was established. The main goals of the foundation are:
In the pursuit of these goals, we actively cooperate with local communities, government institutions, as well as non-governmental organizations, businesses, and international foundations. However, anyone can support our foundation in implementing valuable projects.
Our results and plans.
Thanks to the help and support of partners and those concerned about the future of Ukrainian education, the foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of euros for charity. The accumulated funds have been used to implement crucial projects in the field of education. A significant role in this was played by the foundation's partner, the “Optima” distance school.
However, no matter how proud we are of the implemented projects, more challenges await all of us. Therefore, the foundation has set enormous plans to assist the state in building a new form of school education and Ukrainian children in maximizing the inclusivity of education and realizing their potential. Currently, the foundation is working on the implementation of several important projects:
You can read more about all these projects on our website (in the 'Projects' section), but we can note that they are already in the implementation stage. This means that thousands of Ukrainian children have already received scholarships and grants for education and are currently studying Ukrainian language, literature, history, algebra, chemistry, biology, physics, computer science, and other subjects from the corresponding class curriculum in a modern and safe manner.
Let's help together!
We are very proud of our work and those who help implement our charitable initiatives, from large businesses and organizations to everyone who donates to this important cause. However, thousands of children, from Ukraine, other countries, or temporarily occupied territories, still need help. This is what inspires and motivates us to move forward. We are grateful for any assistance and guarantee full transparency and accountability for our work (you can familiarize yourself with all the necessary documentation in the relevant section of our website).
Our children are undoubtedly the future of Ukraine. And we want to do everything possible for these talented, curious, and already so organized and independent individuals to receive a good education and fully realize themselves. Therefore, we invite everyone who wants to advance Ukrainian school education and help our children, even in such difficult times!
